ACT TWO
After Dinner Revelations
New York investment banker, Bentley Cunningham, is found shot to death in the lobby of his apartment building. Who could have forced such a withdrawal on the banker? Was it Doreen Worthing, wealthy society matron and critic of almost everything? Or was it Lily Worthing, her feisty and rebellious daughter? Could it have been research scientist, Milton Avery, Lily’s egghead fiancé? Maybe it was Maisie O’Rourke, the tacky cigarette girl from the Flamingo Room nightclub? Or even small time hood, Lefty Jones, who tries to sound intelligent, but inevitably uses the wrong word? And what about Detective Kevin Cavanaugh, the proverbial bull in a china shop who is determined to solve the case himself? Socialite sleuths, Kit and Kate Norris, and their dog, Astor, attempt to makes sense out of the clues in this homage to William Powell and Myrna Loy and the “Thin Man” movies of the 1930s.
