Setting
The dining car of the Budapest Express, a luxury passenger train making its way through the Tyrolean Alps.
It is 1926, and the luxury train, the Budapest Express is traveling through the mountains of Austria on its way to the Hungarian capital of Budapest when mysterious Werner Hoffman is pushed from the train. Who among the passengers could have done such a deed? Was it the Grand Duchess Natasha Ivanona Ramazanova, exiled Russian nobility? Her clumsy French maid, Cosette? Was it Major Argyle MacDuff, recently retired from an army career in India? Maybe it was Ram Dass, the Major’s Indian valet? Or it could have been Sabrina al Dente, the fiery Italian fashion designer? Or even silent movie siren, Dora Muerte? Which of them could have committed the murder? And what secret does each passenger hide? It is up to Alvin Reed, reporter for the New York Scuttlebutt to investigate. Can he earn a byline before he, too, is thrown from the train?
