Thank you for joining R-ACT! We are a non-profit, grass roots theater troupe providing community services to the Beaver County Area.

Your membership gives you a voice in the decision-making process and supports our fantastic theater community.  Below you will find what our bylaws state about membership.

MEMBERSHIP ACCORDING TO R-ACT BYLAWS

MEMBERSHIP
Anyone wishing to qualify as a member in good standing of R-ACT may do so:

1. At age 18 unless still attending high school;
2. With the payment of annual dues; and 
3. Membership in R-ACT shall include anyone who takes an active part in any aspect of the sustainability of R-ACT, including attending meetings, participation on a committee, or participating in a production.
   

At least quarterly, the membership list will be reviewed by the Executive Board.  The Executive Board may submit the following to the general membership for its approval: dropping the names of those persons not in good standing, dropping the names of those persons whose activities were not in the best interests of R-ACT.

Business Members
The cost for a business membership is $12.00.

Permissions/Allowances for Business Members:

1. May introduce matters for discussion or decision at general meetings of R-ACT.
2. Can vote on all questions brought before the general membership, provided that all dues have been paid prior to the date of the meeting.  Members from the previous season shall retain their voting privilege through the February general meeting. 
3. Can join one or more of the permanent committees of R-ACT.
4. May be assigned or asked to assist with various business projects and functions as they relate to the general operation of the organization.
5. Will be eligible for the election to any office.
6. Will be eligible for appointment to a committee chairmanship.
7. Can receive an electronic copy of the R-ACT newsletter.
8. Business Member will be referred to as Member hereinafter.

Community Members
There are no annual dues for (community) membership.

Permissions/Allowances for Community Members:

1. Although all ideas and opinions will be heard, community members cannot introduce matters for discussion at the general meetings of R-ACT.  A business member would be able do so for the community member.
2. They are ineligible to vote on any questions brought before the general membership.
3. These members are not required to join any committees of R-ACT.
4. May volunteer to assist with various projects and functions within the organization.
5. Are ineligible for election to any office.
6. Are ineligible for appointment to a committee chairmanship
7. Can receive an electronic copy of the R-ACT newsletter.
